Who Is MagikAl?

Hi! My name is Allan and I have been working as a professional family magician for 8 years. I live in Cumbernauld, just outside of Glasgow. When I left school, I went to study at drama school. Growing up, I've always been surrounded by younger relatives and it was my responsibility to keep them amused 24/7. One day, when I was in 3rd or 4th year in high school, I stumbled across Tam Shepherds Trick Shop in Glasgow. The man behind the counter was preforming magic. That was it, from that moment on, I was hooked! I bought a few magic tricks and rushed home on the bus to show my little cousins as I knew they would love it. I'll never forget the smiles on their faces! I then became slightly obsessed with learning new tricks and making people smile. From this point on, it wasn't just a hobby - it was a super power.

When I started at drama school, I was looking for a way to make some extra money at the weekend. Naturally, I had built up a nice repertoire of magic tricks in the years leading up to this so I took my first birthday party booking and the rest is history! 

My love for magic and my years of experience looking after little people meant that I had the perfect skill set for the job

I am now very fortunate to call this my full time job and I have became one of Scotland's most highly sought after family magician's

I am blessed to get a lot of work on the holiday park circuit and I'm also out every weekend at birthday parties and private functions.

I am forever grateful to my lovely mums, dads, grans, grandads and caregivers who hire me (sometimes year after year) 

I have met some wonderful people over the years and you will all forever have a place in my heart
